Job Summary

The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides respected capital investment advice, support and assurance to Ministers and relevant internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with internal teams, providing them with capital investment advice, and have the opportunity to advise Ministers directly.

In addition, you will support agencies with their strategic capital investment planning.

Your role will also involve leading the development of bespoke assurance processes, mitigation measures, and recommendations.

Furthermore, you will lead or support commissioned investment reviews and deliver high-level reporting and analysis of these reviews.

A key aspect of your role will be establishing and maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in providing high-quality advice on high-risk capital projects
  • Strong customer focus - pragmatic and attuned to organisational realities
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Effective communication skills - able to translate technical information into easily understood concepts
  • Significant experience in providing advice to decision makers in a Government context
  • Resilient and courageous - reputation for providing robust advice
  • A previous background in Health is sought after, but not compulsory
