This position reports to the Kaiarahi Team Leader and will work as part of a dynamic team to provide employment and education support to rangatahi who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or are at risk of becoming NEET.

You will engage with industry, community and whanau networks to identify positive opportunities for rangatahi and assist in designing solutions to address their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide matauranga Maori informed employment and education support to rangatahi
  • Engage with industry, community and whanau networks to identify positive opportunities for rangatahi
  • Assist in designing solutions to address the needs of rangatahi
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
  • Provide pastoral care and support to rangatahi

Requirements

  • Experience working with vulnerable rangatahi and/or whanau
  • Understanding of and alignment with matauranga Maori informed approaches
  • Experience in workplace placement or work brokerage
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
