Job Summary
This is a diverse and varied role that provides flexibility in the use of evidence-based intervention tools to achieve positive outcomes for tamariki and their whanau. Reporting to the Psychologist Team Leader, the successful candidate will gain exposure to comprehensive specialist parenting assessment work, assessments of children with complex care and protection histories, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a number of differing ethnicities including Maori and Pacifica clients
- Liaise with community providers
- Engage in psychological work in the community with tamariki and whanau who need it most
Requirements:
- Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board
- Experience working with children in a care and protection environment
- Ability to engage in psychological work in the community with tamariki and whanau who need it most
