This role will support the business in effective procurement practices through driving processes and outputs, increasing transparency, and enabling Westland Milk Products to plan and budget effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop procurement strategy in assigned portfolio categories.
  • Identify and adopt best procurement practices in conjunction with procurement policy.
  • Support the definition and implementation of global sustainable procurement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Work with key business stakeholders on facilitating procurement requirements.
  • End-to-end sourcing activities, establishing and documenting business requirements.
  • Facilitate tender processes, documentation, and contract negotiations with suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally supported by a relevant commercial or supply chain degree/qualification.
  • Good understanding of procurement category management and procurement principles.
  • CIPS qualification or desire to achieve it.
  • Experience in a food or dairy environment is preferable.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and good judgement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Drive to support sustainable procurement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Good time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
