Role Overview

The University of Otago's School of Physiotherapy is seeking a highly motivated Professional Practice Fellow to work as a clinical educator in our Nelson Hub. This is a permanent, part-time (0.2 FTE), academic year only position.

About the Role

In this role, you will support teaching across a range of papers in the clinical setting, preparing and assessing students, carrying out administration responsibilities, and contributing to the School's academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in a professional discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation, assessment, teaching, and paper administration duties under the supervision of an academic colleague responsible for course design and delivery.Carrying out administration responsibilities.Contributing to the School's academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in a professional discipline.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board, have a full New Zealand driver's license, and meet the requirements of the Vulnerable Children's Act and current Ministry of Health mandated requirements.

Your Skills and Experience

You will need strong clinical skills, experience with liaising with clinical partners and supervising students, a positive attitude, confidence to liaise effectively with students, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
