This role involves defining and leading the operational group responsible for delivering Firearms licensing services and ensuring that processes are streamlined, responsive, and aligned to the organisation's strategic objectives. As Director of Service Delivery, you will take collective responsibility for the running of Te Tari Pureke and any innovation/s needed to lead the business unit into an emerging future.

About Our Organisation

Te Tari Pureke - Firearms Safety Authority has four core functions: effectively implementing the firearms licensing systems, managing the Firearms Registry, educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities, and promoting the safe possession and use of licensed firearms. We foster a culture of safe and responsible firearms use, gun ownership, and awareness by working collaboratively with the firearms community, our stakeholders, and partner agencies.

  • Proven change leadership skills with experience driving transformation in complex settings
  • Ability to clearly communicate the 'why' and inspire others to embrace change
  • Demonstrable senior leadership experience in a complex operational setting and experience implementing national-level operations
