Salary

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 2 ($81,683 p.a) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a prorata) of the RN scale.

Job Description

The Emergency Department at Southern District Health Board provides comprehensive acute care services, including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries, and more. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will develop your skills in this area, including a comprehensive orientation program.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC.
  • Must already hold the right to work in New Zealand.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible, and solution-focused.
  • Previous experience in an acute setting would be an advantage.
