About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Advisor to join our team as a key member of the Delivery Unit. This role will provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team on the delivery of the Health Delivery Plan. You will engage closely with senior leaders across the organization to build a deep understanding of priority programs and initiatives, and ensure their successful implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior leaders in developing and refining delivery plans
- Work collaboratively to drive effective implementation
- Proactively identify and resolve delivery challenges
- Contribute to high-quality reporting by preparing routine updates and carrying out detailed delivery assessments
About You:
We are looking for a seasoned leader capable of providing strategic advice at executive and board level. You possess a strong background in managing complex portfolios and driving performance improvements in the public sector. Your expertise includes business or program analysis, evidence preparation, writing, and presenting assessments and recommendations. Strong relationship-building skills and experience working in a delivery unit or knowledge of delivery unit methodologies and approaches are also essential.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven senior management experience in the New Zealand public or private sector
- Demonstrated success in enhancing the performance of large-scale delivery programs
- Expertise in business or program analysis
- Strong communication skills
