Key Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership to the Senior Phase and Further Education Training programme
  • To implement departmental and faculty strategic goals in line with institutional objectives
  • To serve as a member of the Faculty Executive and participate in Senate and other faculty committees
  • To engage in teaching, research, and postgraduate supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Requirements

  • A relevant Doctoral qualification in Education, specifically in the Senior Phase and Further Education Training subject areas
  • A four-year undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant B-tech degree teaching qualification
  • At least four years of relevant teaching experience in higher education, with a minimum of five years of experience for the Head of Department position
  • Experience in research and postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, and academic management
