Job Summary
We are seeking a Restraint Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with guidelines and promoting a safe and responsible approach to restraint use. The successful candidate will have experience in leading team-based training, developing strategies for minimizing restraint use, and collaborating with colleagues to promote a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining compliance with guidelines and promoting a safe and responsible approach to restraint use
- Leading team-based training for challenging teams and/or teams working with individuals with complex support needs
- Developing and implementing strategies for minimizing restraint use
- Collaborating with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive work culture
Requirements
- Registered CPI Safety Interventions Trainer or potential to become certified
- Valid full driver's license
- Proficiency in leading team-based training
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, De-escalation Techniques, Trauma-Informed Practices, Sensory Modulation, and other strategies for minimizing restraint use
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve
- Advanced computer literacy and administrative skills
