About the Role
As a senior leadership role, the District Chief Midwife is responsible for providing strong, visible, professional and clinical leadership to motivate and inspire midwifery and maternity colleagues and the wider health workforce. This pivotal position requires a dynamic leader with relevant experience within the New Zealand Public Sector.

About the Team/Service
The District Chief Midwife is a senior clinical leadership role based within Taranaki (New Plymouth). Reporting directly to the Group Director of Operations (GDO), this leader will empower the midwifery and maternity workforce to deliver high quality patient and whanau care.

About You
We are seeking a problem solver and system thinker who can effectively mitigate a wide range of risks and issues. The ideal candidate should be registered with the Midwifery Council in New Zealand with a current Midwifery APC, have at least 5 years relevant clinical leadership experience and be competent in te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
