Job Description

Role Summary
The Property Facilities Advisor supports the effective management of DOC's property portfolio, ensuring it is well-managed and sustainable. This role involves arranging property asset condition assessments, remedial, and planned maintenance on DOC-owned properties in liaison with regional or district points of contact and contracted facilities management providers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate work associated with commercial building compliance that meets NZ Building Act requirements.
  • Oversee upkeep and repairs along with preventative building maintenance.
  • Adhere to local regulations and Health and Safety standards.
  • Coordinating with other DOC property activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role calls for someone who is keen to add value to the work we do and prioritizes strong, openly communicative relationships. You have an excellent track record in facilities management and ability to facilitate enterprise portfolio management.

  • A strong customer and people-centric focus.
  • Excellent project and contract management skills.
  • Qualification or in-depth experience in property, business, asset maintenance management, valuation, or related fields.
  • 3+ years' experience in a facilities management role.
  • Understanding of relevant property legislation and regulations.
  • Proven experience and achievements in corporate real estate, administration, building management, maintenance, systems, and process management.
  • A current full driving license.
  • Willingness to travel for site meetings.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $92,450 to $111,466, with the starting salary based on your relevant skills and experience. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
