Your expertise will help shape the future of paediatrics in the Nelson region, driving positive change and promoting better health outcomes for our community.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to share knowledge and best practices in paediatrics.
  • Support education and training initiatives, enhancing the skills of junior medical staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in paediatrics, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.

Your Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Annual Practising Certificate and vocational scope of Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Advanced Paediatric Life Support certification or equivalent.
  • General Paediatrics experience, including Neonatology, Paediatric Oncology, and special interest in child development and protection.
  • Preference for candidates joining the Paediatric MEDSAC team.
  • Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a willingness to start your learning journey.
