**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Counsellor in Training (CIT) for our Day Camps program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting camp counsellors in planning and implementing daily itineraries that provide creative, meaningful, and age-appropriate activities for children aged 5-11 years old.

As a CIT, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in child and youth activity leadership, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality programs that promote fun, learning, and community building.

This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals with relevant experience in childcare, sports coaching, or recreation to gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist camp counsellors in planning and implementing daily itineraries
  • Supervise and engage with program participants
  • Develop and facilitate camp activities, games, and crafts
  • Participate in an empowered team environment through commitment to customer service systems and relationship building

Requirements:

  • Entering or having finished high school grade 10, 11, or 12
  • Relative work or volunteer experience in childcare, sport & coaching, or recreation (asset)
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification, including AED (required)
  • If over the age of 18, successful completion of a background RCMP/Police Records Check (required)
