About the Role

This permanent full-time position offers 40 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday. As Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining stock levels within our Dunedin branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch inventory in accordance with our best practice documents for inventory and cycle counting processes.
  • Coordinate special orders and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and drive cycle count to ensure the accuracy of our inventory.
  • Investigate any stock discrepancies and resolve items out of stock promptly.
  • Process product returns, repairs, and warranty claims.
  • Forecast stock levels and generate monthly reports.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess proven experience in inventory management or inwards goods, ideally in retail or distribution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Computer and numeracy knowledge with the ability to quickly adapt and become systems-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task while working to deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
