**Job Summary**
A Senior Civil Engineer is required to join our client's team of engineering experts in the Wellington office. The successful candidate will be part of the key strategy and decision-making for the team, as well as being a critical player in the delivery of world-class, innovative solutions to a broad range of clients in the industrial and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring their expectations are met.
- Participate actively in design development and review, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to design-focused tasks.
- Plan and oversee project lifecycles from initial stages to successful completion and delivery.
- Manage on-site aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.
- Apply advanced geometric analysis techniques to design and optimize infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems.
- Lead the delivery of high-profile projects both within New Zealand and on international stages.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
**Requirements**
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering (a must), with +/- 8 – 15 years' experience in industrial and commercial infrastructure projects. They should also have solid experience in design and reviewing of designs, proven hands-on site experience, and project delivery of complex projects. A CPENG or working towards it is ideal, as is exposure to a variety of industries and sectors.
