The Electoral Commission is responsible for ensuring trust and participation in Aotearoa's democratic processes. As part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality electoral events, contributing to our continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring electoral integrity.

Job Description

In this role, you will lead the development and embedding of the Commission's risk management framework, processes, and tools. You will design and implement a work plan to enhance risk management maturity across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a risk management framework that meets the Commission's needs.
  2. Design and implement a work plan to enhance risk management maturity.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage risks.
  4. Provide timely and accurate reporting on risk and assurance activities.
  5. Lead assurance planning and delivery of training to build risk management capability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
  2. Expertise in providing advice and delivering assurance activities.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify risks.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to its principles.
  6. A proactive, forward-thinking mindset comfortable working independently.
