We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to join our high-performing Emergency Department team located at Tauranga Hospital. In this permanent part-time role, working Monday – Sunday, 0.8FTE (32 hours per week), you will be an essential part of the team, supporting patients and clinical staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support patients with personal care, patient comfort, mobility and clinical support tasks under the direction of a passionate and highly skilled nursing team.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent).
- Experience in a healthcare setting or related service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shift hours across Sunday to Monday.
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
