As a Career Guidance Specialist at Waitakere College, you will play a vital role in the pastoral care team on a full-time basis.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about working narratively with students, their families, staff, and community agencies. The successful candidate will have confidence and capabilities with technology and be an active member of our Professional Development Programme.

This programme includes Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities on offer at the College. As a Career Guidance Specialist, you must already be able to work and live in New Zealand on a permanent basis without the need for sponsorship or a job offer.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong commitment to supporting the educational and personal growth of our students.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include providing guidance and support to students, developing and implementing strategies to promote student engagement and wellbeing, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to enhance student outcomes.
