About the Role

The Assistant Project Manager position at Sonn Group requires a skilled coordinator to assist the Project Executive in various aspects of project management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating tasks among project teams, including third-party engineers, architects, planners, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.
  • Managing resource consenting processes and Building Consent applications by attending regular council meetings.
  • Procuring construction contract tenders and awarding contracts.
  • Administering contracts and invoices, processing contractor pay applications, evaluating variations, and maintaining tracking sheets and records.
  • Performing due diligence assessments, including evaluating property conditions, estimating repair and construction costs, and creating DD reports.
  • Communicating with stakeholders, such as shareholders, investors, accounting staff, and legal advisors.
  • Resolving issues on past projects raised by Body Corporate with independent experts, legal advisors, contractors, and architects involved.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Valuation, Surveying, or equivalent.
  • Valuation skills are an asset.
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience, preferably in internships or related fields.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for reporting duties.
  • Ability to drive.
