Overview

Casual Medical Laboratory Technicians are required by Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Ashburton to join their team on a casual basis. This role involves working with the laboratory team to provide efficient and smooth running laboratory services.

About the Role

">

This is a casual position, meaning hours will be variable and as required. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy (QPT) or specimen services (QSST), although applications from those with science qualifications or relevant experience in healthcare are also welcome.

The successful applicant will work closely with the laboratory team, including scientists and technicians, to ensure that high-quality laboratory services are provided to the Ashburton community.

About You

">

We're looking for someone who is multi-talented, able to build trusted relationships with patients and their whānau, and passionate about providing high-quality service. Ideally, you'll be registered with the Medical Sciences Council and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth is essential. Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks is desirable.
