The role of Market Expansion Specialist is available at our Wellington office. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Wellington market and the ability to develop new client and cross-selling opportunities.

As a key member of our Clients & Markets group, you will work closely with Partners and their teams to advise and coach on all aspects of business development, including pitches, planning, budgets, market profiles, submissions, and reporting on progress and ROI.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing new client and cross-selling opportunities and progressing through the BD lifecycle.
  2. Working closely with the C&M Director and wider Clients & Markets team to deliver on strategic objectives, annual plans and projects.
  3. Leading BD activities including project management of pitches, creation of proposals and responding to specific client requirements.
  4. Supporting Partners and senior staff with BD training, BD planning and coaching.

Required skills and experience:

  1. In-depth knowledge of the Wellington market along with Government sector experience will be a strong advantage.
  2. Relevant qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  3. Proven capability in business development, ideally in a professional services environment.
  4. Experience in influencing senior decision makers as well as coaching and mentoring.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, and compelling writing skills.
  6. Proven organisational, attention to detail and analytical / numerical skills.
