Job Summary:
This is a varied role that requires a unique blend of academic expertise, cultural understanding, and interpersonal skills. You will be working closely with teaching staff to contribute to program development, provide feedback on effective teaching methodologies, and liaison with other service units within MIT and the wider community.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating initiatives to improve Pacific student learning and achievement
- Supporting staff through professional development programs aligned with Tapasa and PER requirements
- Collaborating across teams to develop strategies that enhance institutional performance and engagement goals
- Developing relationships with students and creating a culturally safe learning environment
- Providing academic skills development and referrals for students requiring specialist support
- Offering learning and academic writing skills support to individuals and groups
- Identifying students with specific learning difficulties or disabilities and connecting them with MIT and external services
