About the Role

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Healthcare Specialist - Early Intervention Program. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.

The role will involve delivering early interventional health and wellbeing guidance, support and service within Primary and Intermediate Schools and Kaupapa Māori Kura. You will work collaboratively with education and health services to provide evidence-informed individual, group and whole-of-class wellbeing programs/interventions for tamariki, as well as broader wellbeing cluster support to kura and schools.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role.

You should also possess phenomenal relationship skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. A full driver's license is required, and fluency in Te Reo is preferred if working with Kaupapa Maori Kura.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience working with community, tamariki and whānau, and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment are essential. An active current registration in Nursing, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related field is required.
