Functional Assessor Occupational Therapist

We seek an experienced and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our team as a PIP Functional Assessor. In this dynamic role, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life.

You will conduct assessments via various means, producing Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to inform Department for Work and Pensions decision-making. Regular feedback and supervision will enable you to develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills.

This is a chance for skilled Occupational Therapists to work with complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders. Our tailored training programme will support you in thriving in this challenging and rewarding role.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to comprehend the impact of disability on daily functioning
  • Produce detailed PIP reports to inform benefit entitlement decisions
  • Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills through ongoing feedback and supervision

Requirements:

  • Valid HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Post-registration experience in a diverse setting
  • Ability to work in the UK (no sponsorships offered)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer software for report production
