Environmental Fundraising Specialist
In this role as Environmental Fundraising Specialist with RSPB, you will embark on an exciting journey to create a world richer in nature. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your exceptional communication skills to engage with members of the public and generate new RSPB memberships via direct debits.
Your daily activities will involve using our company van to travel to different venues around your local area, where you will set up an attractive fundraising stand and spend the day interacting with the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts.
We provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need to excel in this role. Plus, you'll enjoy the benefits of a company van, with fuel and parking costs paid for. You will also have the flexibility to choose a contract between 3 to 5 days per week and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission.
This role requires a passion for conservation, resilience, and the ability to work to targets. A driver's license valid for use in the UK is also essential, as is the willingness to work outdoors independently and travel (on average) an hour away from home each day. Fundraising/Sales and Customer Service experience is desirable but not necessary, as we value enthusiasm and negotiating/storytelling skills above all else.
We strive to develop an inclusive and diverse RSPB community, where everyone feels supported, valued, and able to be their full selves. If you identify as a person of colour and/or disabled, we would love to receive your application and discuss any additional support you may need to complete it.
