About the Job Description

Tangram provides industrial garment rental and linen rental across the Bay of Plenty and the Coromandel. Our family-owned commercial laundry in Tauriko, Tauranga, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with electrical knowledge to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience in plant maintenance, proficient power tool use, strong troubleshooting abilities, good electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The role involves performing a variety of skilled tasks to ensure the optimal efficiency of the laundry plant. This includes installing new equipment, removing old equipment, performing regular maintenance checks, and maintaining a working knowledge of all machines on site.

Able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair operational issues including jams, belts, and other inefficiencies, and assist with other contracted personnel with work as required. The successful candidate will also need to adhere to Health & Safety requirements and have good time management skills.

Requirements

  • Plant maintenance experience a must
  • Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
  • Possess good electrical knowledge
  • Forklift and Scissor lift experience an advantage
  • Possess welding/fabrication experience an advantage
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
