Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mechanical components and processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical components and processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes
- Participate in all stages of mechanical and process design, from conceptualization to completion
- Perform complex mechanical engineering duties following designated standards and procedures, working closely with other engineering disciplines, especially the Production and Testing teams
- Facilitate the transfer of products from design to manufacturing by generating a complete 'manufacturing package' for manufacture in-house, Cubic de Mexico or at sub-contractors
- Provide support throughout the life cycle of the product to maintain the production of a quality product efficiently

What We Are Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in the field of mechanical engineering or other relevant technical discipline
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a similar industry
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques including design for manufacture and assembly
- Good knowledge of plastic injection molded part design, machined metal and sheet metal part design, ruggedized product design, finite element structural analysis, and calculations of stresses
- Effective written and oral communication skills to include the use of typical office automation products such as word processors and spreadsheets
- Experience with 3D CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Desirable experience with lifecycle management systems (e.g., PLM), knowledge of model-based engineering, and workshop experience
