The role of a Registered Mental Health Professional is crucial in supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. As part of the Acute Care team, you will work closely with clients and their whānau to provide assessment, brief follow-up, and connection with community services. This includes initiation and discussion of treatment, as well as planning for a pathway forward once the crisis has passed.
As a key member of the Community Mental Health team in Whakatāne, you will be part of a diverse group of professionals working together to deliver high-quality care. Your expertise will enable you to make decisions quickly and safely, prioritizing community safety at all times. You will also be comfortable working autonomously, while being an effective team player.
This casual position requires flexibility in thinking and working shifts, which may change at short notice. We seek someone with an open mind, who is positive, passionate, and eager to learn and grow within our supportive environment.
