About the Role

\

We are seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our team in a dementia care capacity. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements.

\

Your key responsibilities will include:

\
  • Delivering personalised care to every resident
  • Supporting and encouraging residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves
  • Assisting with activities of daily living, adhering to the Eden principles and Domains of Wellbeing
  • Taking instruction and tasks from the Registered Nurse
  • E nsuring resident's needs are attended to effectively and in a timely manner
\

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and organisation. A passion for the wellbeing of older people is essential, along with a commitment to empathy, compassion, and respect.

\

Requirements

\
  • Careerforce Level 4 Health or LCP would be beneficial
  • Experience in providing dementia-level care
  • Ability to work as an active member of a team environment
  • Good verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • A willingness to pick up shifts at short notice to cover sick leave and annual leave
