We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team, working in conjunction with the University of Otago. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and development, with the possibility of combining it with General Medicine.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive salary package. You will be part of a dynamic team providing a comprehensive range of gastrointestinal services in our main hospitals and outpatient clinics.

You will participate in a 1:4 on-call roster, working alongside a team of enthusiastic colleagues. Planning is underway to re-develop facilities and expand the department, providing opportunities for contributions to this development.

The role also offers unlimited possibilities for laboratory and clinical-based research, with scope for collaboration with like-minded researchers.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have enthusiasm for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving service delivery quality.

About You

We are looking for appointed specialists or those within a few months of completing FRACP training. ERCP experience is desirable but not essential. We consider candidates who are close to completing their specialist training and eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
