The Cultural Quality Advisor will play a pivotal role in achieving equity for Māori individuals and their whānau within a Continuous Quality Improvement Approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve the quality, safety, and experience of health and disability services received by Māori individuals and their whānau.
- Design and deliver a cultural audit process using the new Ngā Paerewa health and disability service standards.
- Establish genuine partnerships with community groups in Te Tai o Poutini to ensure diverse perspectives are incorporated into the quality service/delivery process.
To be effective in this role, the successful candidate should possess the following proven capabilities:
- Demonstrated cultural understanding
- Comprehensive understanding of health inequalities and disparities
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Exceptional skills in engaging and working with others
- Resilience, adaptability, honesty, and courage along with curiosity and the ability to seek and integrate ideas.
