Key Responsibilities

Requirements
You will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in events, visitor experience, tourism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in events, placemaking, education tourism, or visitor engagement.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative vision and the ability to bring stakeholders along with you to deliver engaging experiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
  • A passion for working with diverse communities and an interest in natural environments.
  • Some knowledge of te ao Maori would be an advantage.
