About the Role

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality care for children and young people.

We are seeking a Team Leader to join our community residences and emergency care placements team.

The successful candidate will report to the Programme Manager, Kaitiaki Residential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and processing referrals for placement
  • Rostering daily shifts
  • Oversight and supervision of staff to maintain exceptional Youth Work practice standards
  • Liaising with Oranga Tamariki and other professionals to implement placement and safety plans
  • Working with the Programme Manager to ensure placements are suitably resourced
  • Assisting the payroll team with regards to the Kaitiaki department
  • Conducting inductions and team meetings

This is an exciting and busy role that requires rostered after-hours duties. Ideal applicants will be committed to working within an organised system of care that prioritises the well-being of young people.

Full training and support will be provided.
