Environmental Conservation Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Ranger to join our team in the Nelson region. As a key member of our conservation team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of hands-on activities, including habitat restoration, track maintenance, and pest plant control.

Key Activities

  • Habitat restoration, including planting and after care of plants
  • Track maintenance and repair in the Nelson region
  • Pest plant control through a variety of methods
  • Assisting other teams within Nelmac with various maintenance activities

Requirements

  • Previous practical experience in conservation, agriculture, or forestry
  • Ability to use a range of herbicides and be comfortable doing so (full PPE and training provided)
  • Current driver's license and ability to drive a manual
  • High awareness and strong commitment to health and safety
