About Clinical Administrator Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the Cardiology Department at Christchurch Health Campus. As a Clinical Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patient bookings, including outpatient and inpatient admissions, are handled according to Waitaha Canterbury and Ministry of Health standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are always respected.
  • Maintain a genuine focus on providing excellent customer service to patients, clinicians, and others accessing our services.
  • Undertake front-of-house duties with a high standard of customer service.

Clinical System Processes:

  • Follow business rules as outlined in Waitaha Canterbury Elective Services Guidelines (Orange Book V3).
  • Book patients based on priority, managing greatest need and longest wait, ensuring compliance with Planned Care (MoH) requirements.

Transcription Duties:

  • Complete dictated letters within set timeframes (usually 3-5 days).
  • Process and distribute all letters and outgoing correspondence within 24 hours of clinician sign-off.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on people and patient care.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
