Job Description:

As a Produce Assistant Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring excellent customer service. You'll work closely with the Produce Manager to achieve department targets and standards, while also developing and coaching a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Produce Manager in achieving sales and gross profit targets, while controlling wage costs
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure high-quality stock and minimize wastage and shrinkage
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring excellent customer interactions
  • Maintain health and safety and food safety policies to agreed standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience leading/managing a team
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commanding leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Working knowledge of GP and financial acumen
