Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of labour units, handling diverse tasks and responsibilities, and contributing to the station's success. Key duties include:

  • Leading and motivating the team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Planning and executing day-to-day stock and pastoral management activities.
  • Supporting the Supervisor and Owner in planning farming operations and driving innovation.
  • Recording and managing farm data to inform decision-making.
  • Implementing process improvements to optimise farm performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for animal welfare, pasture management, and planning, as well as leadership skills and a commitment to mentoring, training, and supporting staff.

About the Station

Our iconic breeding/finishing station in Manutuke currently runs over 400 Angus breeding cows/heifers and 5,000 ewes, with replacement stock. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a three-bedroom residence on the historic station, along with various allowances for power, phone, working dogs, and other items.
