The Electoral Commission is looking for a seasoned Information Protection Leader to join its Information Technology team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in protecting the Commission's enterprise data and information assets. You will work closely with senior leaders and project managers to deliver election events, ensuring that the Commission's information assets are well-managed, secure, and resilient against threats.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing software development lifecycles, defining strategic directions for software capabilities, and managing application development teams and suppliers. You should have significant leadership skills, with the ability to grow and develop our staff to work as a high-performing team. In addition, you should be effective in working under pressure, managing stakeholder relationships, and balancing competing priorities. You should also excel in communication, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to varied audiences.

The role involves developing and maintaining the Commission's information security policies, capabilities, and expertise. You will ensure security operations provide 24x7 monitoring and are ready to respond to security threats. Additionally, you will safeguard critical information assets, lifting the maturity of the Commission's information management practices. You will develop strategies and business plans for investing in the Commission's information & security resources, and work closely with the Commission's senior leaders and project managers as a critical member of delivering election events.
