Job Summary

The Regional Oral and Maxillofacial Service (OMS) is seeking an experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, with the opportunity to work part-time (minimum 2 weekdays per week), primarily based at Middlemore Hospital with some sessions at Greenlane Clinical Centre and Auckland City Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regional acute, elective, and outpatient specialist OMS services
  • Work closely with the Hospital and Specialist Dentistry service and their sub-specialties
  • Participate in registrar training as a training centre in OMS surgery

Requirements

  • Hold or be eligible for vocational registration as a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with the Medical Council and the Dental Council of New Zealand
  • Excellent work record, ability to integrate as part of a team, and a desire for public service

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive a range of benefits, including access to professional development opportunities and a comprehensive employee assistance program.
