About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner or Medical Specialist to join our team at Taupo Hospital. As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions
- Work collaboratively with other medical staff to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
- Be within 3 months of obtaining your Emergency Medicine qualification and/or hold/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Have a strong understanding of general medicine and emergency procedures
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
About the Team
You will be part of a small but competent and supportive team that provides 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000. You will also have the support of other medical staff such as nurses, medical students, and junior resident doctors.
