About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Policy Advisor to join our Accident Compensation Policy team, where you will work closely with Ministers and senior public service officials to advise on the Accident Compensation Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Apply your policy expertise to deliver results for New Zealand by working on complex and high-profile government policy projects.
  2. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, utilizing influencing and engagement skills to drive policy development.
  3. Develop and implement effective policy solutions, considering the interests of various stakeholders and upholding the Crown's obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  4. Collaborate with ACC and the Treasury to inform policy decisions.

Requirements:

  • Wide-ranging knowledge of policy development disciplines and processes.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships using influencing and engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated capability in working with Ministers and senior public service officials.
