About the Role We are seeking an experienced Equipment Service Technician to join our team in Hastings, New Zealand. This diverse role will see you based in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region, where you will be part of the team performing field-based or site-based repairs and maintenance on a large fleet of forklifts for our customers across your assigned area and working through our well-equipped Workshop.
We have both mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklifts with a significant number of different models within the two categories giving you the opportunity to develop and increase your skills.
Our goal is to provide exceptional service to our customers - we work closely with them to support their businesses and keep them running smoothly. You'll have the chance to learn our products, which will give you the opportunity to progress in the business and the organisation.
Crown product knowledge would be beneficial, but we have comprehensive training materials available for those who are willing to learn.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working Mondays to Fridays with on-call duties and the opportunity for some paid overtime.
RequirementsAbout YouWe're looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years' Material Handling Equipment experience or Auto Electrical, Diesel, or Motor Mechanic experience and/or trade qualification or hydraulics experience (or similar overseas qualification). To succeed in this role, you'll bring a customer-centric attitude and be solutions-focused as you support our valued customers with service they can trust.
You'll work in a collaborative team environment, so being a team player and prepared to support the team is essential. Being IT savvy and an agile learner will also stand you in good stead. The ability to build rapport and relationships, attention to detail, and being physically fit are all essential requirements for this role.
In addition, you'll need to hold a valid driver's license and undergo a pre-employment medical check, including a drug & alcohol test.
The initial and ongoing training will require you to travel to Australia (NZ passport or eligibility to obtain an AUS visa).
