We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical consultant to join our team at Waikatodhbnewsroom. As a medical consultant - anaesthesia, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in anaesthesia and experience in Intensive Care Medicine. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides comprehensive services in acute pain, birthing, MRI, Pre Assessment Clinic, responds to trauma calls, and provides clinical management of a robust Intensive Care Unit (7 beds).
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing elective and emergency surgeries.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to anaesthetic care.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or adverse events.
Requirements:
- Specialist training in anaesthesia (FANZCA) and eligibility for provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
