The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with cloud compute service expertise to join our team working on cutting-edge cloud technologies for our next-gen cloud geodata platform. This role offers skill growth, career advancement, and the opportunity to contribute to market-leading solutions like Seequent Evo.

Our team leverages key capabilities from various Cloud platforms, including Azure and GCP. We build APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic, deploying and running them with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Design and develop sophisticated software applications, components, and modules that push the boundaries of technology.
  2. Create models, simulations, and prototypes of software behaviour to gain stakeholder approval and ensure smooth construction, verifying designs with advanced methods.
  3. Code, test, document, and refine complex programs, scripts, and integration services, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
  4. Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, and automation activities, promoting excellence in software engineering practices.
  5. Mentor and guide fellow software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you had:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  2. 7+ years working with cloud providers and technologies.
  3. Experience with or curiosity to learn the following tools: Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes.
  4. Experience working with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  5. Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines (i.e. GitHub, Gitlab, etc.).
