**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to fill our Dementia Care Worker Position at Presbyterian Support East Coast.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our residents with dementia, promoting their independence and dignity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centered care to residents with dementia
  • Supporting residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves
  • Assisting with activities of daily living that meet the Eden principles and Domains of Wellbeing
  • Working closely with the Registered Nurse to ensure residents' needs are met

We offer a range of shifts, including permanent part-time and casual positions, so you can find a schedule that suits your lifestyle. Our team works together to provide a fixed roster, allowing you to plan ahead. We also welcome flexibility to pick up additional shifts to cover in the home.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, be well-organized, and have a passion for the wellbeing of older adults. You will also require:

  • Ability to work as an active member of a team environment
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
  • BASIC computer skills for electronic record keeping
  • Previous experience in aged care or a related field
