The Role

We are seeking a Senior Groundwater Modeller with expertise in numerical modelling techniques to undertake research and consultancy projects related to groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and climate change impacts.

  • PhD in numerical groundwater modelling or a related topic, or at least 7 years' experience in groundwater modelling research and consulting roles
  • Experience with advanced numerical modelling approaches for freshwater problems
  • Advanced knowledge of hydrogeological and groundwater modelling concepts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop groundwater flow models and coupled nutrient transport models
  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients to understand project requirements
  • Lead projects and write successful research and commercial proposals
  • Publish in scientific literature and present research findings

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be a flexible and adaptable team player with good time management and organisational skills. The appointment will be based at one of our offices in Wellington, Taupo, Dunedin, or Auckland.
