As a Sanctions Investigations Expert at ASB Bank, you will play a vital part in disrupting the impact of financial crime in New Zealand. You will be responsible for managing sanctions exceptions and workflow encompassing international payment and customer screening.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interrogate information received from various internal and external sources to make sound decisions as to the next steps ensuring a seamless banking experience while meeting our regulatory obligations
  • Provide investigative and subject matter expertise with regard to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations and Sanctions
  • Collaborate with a driven and collaborative team where we are authentic and supportive of each other's perspectives and goals

About You:

You will be a naturally inquisitive and investigative mind with the ability to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times. You will have the ability to make informed decisions and demonstrate initiative. A strong written fluency and the ability to communicate effectively in formal settings is essential. An eye for detail with the ability to see the bigger picture and identify trends is also required.
