Job Summary:

As a Healthcare Assistant with WOFO, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a high level of empathy, compassion, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient handling assistance as required, utilizing correct lifting equipment and assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, and preparing the room for admission.
Complete delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision, ensuring Health and Safety compliance and reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly.
Restock materials and complete cleaning duties as required.

Requirements:

Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients
Reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting)
Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy
Reliable and honest with a positive attitude
Willing to undertake police clearance and undergo a health screening.
