Join Our Team:

Waikato District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to join our team at Waikato Hospital. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the growth and development of our paediatric services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert medical care to neonates and their families, ensuring the highest level of quality and compassion.
  2. Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes and improve our clinical services.
  3. Participate in on-call rosters and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in neonatal care.
  4. Teach and mentor junior doctors, fostering their growth and development as future leaders in paediatrics.

Requirements:

  • Hold or be eligible to apply for vocational scope of practice in Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and a practising certificate.
  • Competency in Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
